Thomason Foss Waterfall | North Yorkshire Landscape Photographer

This one was a little difficult to capture. I’ve tried serval times but each time the pool in front was full of children and adults alike swimming.

Thomason Foss is situated just outside Goathland in a little hamlet called Beck Hole. I wanted the evening light so had to work through summer time to make sure the lighting was strong enough to reach the valley floor.

I took several images from several angles I even got my feet a little wet too! It was nice to share the waterfall with a female dipper feeding her young fresh insects from beneath the falls. The young one tucked safely under the rocks.
